We had a great time at the Special Olympics National Games in New Jersey this past weekend in Ewing. It was Doctor Meyer’s 17th year as co director, representing Opening Eye, and the event did not disappoint. Our program is responsible for helping athletes see better so that they can perform to the best of their abilities. We specifically give out a ton of protective eye wear to many of the athletes that take part in the activities. This year, we had about 20 participating doctors and over 50 volunteers providing free eye wear and exams to over 400 athletes at The College of New Jersey!
The Special Olympics is truly an amazing event that we are always honored to take part in. We had a tremendous amount of support from loyal clients, as well as from a bunch of other people in the community. We would like to take the time out to thank The Special Olympics National Games as an organization, our staff, and our amazing supporters. It was a wonderful time for all, and we can’t wait until next year so we can do it all over again!
